Scott Appleman

Scott enjoys all things outdoors. A native of New England, Scott grew up sailing ‘Fireballs’ competitively and playing tennis on the high school team.  After attending the University of Utah and receiving a BA in French, Scott began a career in hospitality at Snowbird Ski & Summer Resort where he worked closely with the Utah Office of Tourism, Ski Utah and the Salt Lake Convention & Visitors Bureau in promoting the 2002 Winter Olympic games in Salt Lake City. In 2010 Scott launched AppleCore Sports LLC, a boutique ski tour operator/ adventure travel company. In his travels Scott has paddled part of the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica, sections of the Inside Passage in British Columbia and numerous coastal locations in Alaska. Scott has also paddled extensively in Penobscot Bay and is returning to Bar Harbor for his 9th year as a licensed Maine Sea Kayak Guide. Scott currently holds: Wilderness First Responder, Level II Avalanche and Advanced PADI certificates.
